Apply for the PHS IB Program

The current eligibility requirements for being part of the IB Program are as follows:

• A 3.0 (B) grade point average
  
• Achievement levels of 3 or above on FCAT reading and math OR at the 85th percentile on standardized national achievement tests
  
• Be recommended by present teachers in core academic subjects (4 recommendations)
  
• High level of personal motivation
  
• A writing sample (essay)
  
• Good conduct and attendance record
  
• A complete application

To apply to the IB Program, download and complete the forms in the attached .pdf file of the application packet.
(Please give the appropriate recommendation form to English, Social Studies, Science, and Math teachers.)

NOTE:The School Choice bubble sheet itemized on the checklist cannot be posted online; it must be obtained from the PHS IB office or your Middle School guidance office. Your guidance counselor may assist you in compiling the completed application paperwork and submitting it to PHS, or you may bring the the completed packet to the IB office, room 49 at PHS.
