Benefits of Autodesk Certifications
In addition to improving your skill set, earning Autodesk Certification provides advantages and benefits:
Drafting/Illustrative Design Technology I - This academy course provides students knowledge, skills, and attitudes of drafting, including the use of technical drafting equipment and materials to apply drafting standards and techniques. Students are introduced to Computer Aided Design (CAD) Systems and are required to produce CAD generated orthographic, pictorial, isometric, oblique, auxiliary, sectional, and working drawings.
Drafting/Illustrative Design Technology II - This academy course provides advanced skills in architectural and engineering drawings. Students must be able to demonstrate an understanding of and be able to select and use information and communication technologies, manufacturing technologies, construction technologies, making architectural drawings to industry standards, technical illustrating, and reverse engineering.
Drafting/Illustrative Design Technology III - This academy course provides advanced individual study related to drafting technology and engineering drawing. Students must conduct a research and experimental project that is cooperatively planned and organized with the instructor. The research finding and project must be presented by the student in a seminar.
Advanced Technology Applications - This academy capstone course provides the opportunity to develop a project from "vision" to "reality." Working in teams to design, engineer, manufacture, construct, test, redesign, test again, and then produce a finished "project."
Work-Based Experience - This elective course provides academy students with the opportunity to gain real world practical, first‑hand exposure in broad occupational clusters or industry sectors through a structured, compensated or uncompensated, work‑based experience. The Computer Aided Design Academy Work‑Based Experience course is designed to give student learners an opportunity to apply and integrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities acquired during their school‑based academy experience to actual work situations.
